Had a great day on the water with William. Was able to see humpback whales and catch lots of cod and crab to bring home. Saw lots of wildlife all day. Such a great local guide and was everything we expected and more. We will definitely book again!

We were blessed with a last-minute booking to go salmon fishing with William, the owner of Fijian Son Fishing Charter, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our honeymoon! Traveling from Alberta, we weren’t sure how the BC fishing licenses worked, but William took the time to explain everything clearly and set us up for success. From the moment we stepped on board, his welcoming personality made us feel right at home. After just two days of fishing together, it felt like we’d known him for years! His knowledge, patience, and passion for what he does made the whole experience unforgettable—and yes, the salmon were biting! If you’re looking for an experienced, personable, and professional guide who truly cares about your trip. We would highly recommend William and Fijian Son Fishing Charter to anyone looking for a good time!

Went out last weekend with Will, got some great salmon and had a blast. Will provides a great experience and knows his stuff on the water. Even got to feast on some crab which was a bonus! Would highly recommend!

Epic trip with Captain William! Knows his stuff and is great at teaching. Makes you feel super comfortable on his boat and is all about making it a fun trip. Can definitely appreciate a captain who is willing to have fun along the way. Came home with 3 beauty salmon in our group! Highly recommend!

Captain William is a very Knowledgeable boat Captain. I have a lot of experience on a boat and I would sail on any boat with this man. He was Professional, Knowledgeable, Entertaining. But most of all he treated my son and I like one of his closest ship mates. Captain William taught my son about the radar equipment on targeting the fish, setting courses and depths of the water. Captain William also instructed my son how to sail his boat through the waters we were fishing in. As for me, I have made a long time friend with Captain William. I am looking forward to meet up with him next Summer to go back out Fishing. I advocate to anyone up in this area of Sooke Canada to look up Fijian Son for your next fishing charter!!! Mark Chapman

What an awesome trip. We started the day meeting a great guy and by the end of the charter we had made a new friend, that we plan on calling on each time were in Vancouver. His knowledge of the area put us on fish immediately and his electronics honed in on the proper depth. To enhance the experience, we were able to use all the gear as if it was our own and the automatic retrieving down riggers were a joy operate. One of the highlights of the charter was the fresh crab boil on board the boat. After the charter, Will hauled the crab traps we dropped that morning and then fired up the boil pot and we had the freshest, sweetest Dungeness crab I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend this charter and can guarantee you will get your money's worth. Glen & Gina Porter July, 2024

I went on a 6-hour salmon fishing trip with Fijian Son (Captain William), and it was fantastic. We hooked seven salmon in approximately 3-4 hours. Following that, we took a brief excursion to the crab traps and North Race Rock, where you can observe sea lions. As a solo adventurer, this is undoubtedly the best deal for a day of fishing!

William and I had a AWSOME TIME! I was totally surprised he would take a single person out on his charter but was more than thrilled too. He knew where all the fish would be as many of the other charters were in the COLD fog bank, we stayed in the blue sky and hot sunshine. Within the first hr he had me working the down riggers and baiting my on hooks. I WAS FISHING! He loved to see the smiles I had when landing 3 big salmon. He was really easy to get along with and made a guy feel confident. He even dropped crab traps to which he gave me all the crab that came in at the end of day!!!!!! Would highly recommend FIJIAN SON FISHING CHARTERS to anyone that wants to experience the REEL FISHING EXPERIENCE. Thanks again Will and see you next August my friend!
